This course will offer a systematic, yet very engaging, approach for using technology and media to improve student achievement. This approach is based on the ASSURE model, which helps teachers plan effective, integrated lessons following a six-step process. This course will explore both traditional technologies and innovative, cutting-edge approaches to selecting, using, and evaluating instructional technology and media in order to improve student achievement.

Using Technology and Media to Improve Student Achievement

Course Description:

  • This course will offer a systematic, yet very engaging, approach for using technology and media to improve student achievement. This approach is based on the ASSURE model, which helps teachers plan effective, integrated lessons following a six-step process. This course will explore both traditional technologies and innovative, cutting-edge approaches to selecting, using, and evaluating instructional technology and media in order to improve student achievement. 
  • Participants will be awarded 90 Act 48 hours after successfully completing the course.

  • Central Office Administrators, Principals, Assistant Principals, Educational Leaders and Teachers.
