Courage to Teach Academy

Based on the text “The Courage to Teach” by Parker J. Palmer, learners will be introduced to a variety of types of communication and innovative instructional leadership strategies that focus on example programs to advance the trust in the school community and the concept of “The Community of We.” The strategies highlighted will allow leaders an opportunity to focus on taking risks, embracing cultural differences, and building a trustworthy community for all learners. The track will utilize the concept of that we lead best when we understand ourselves first.

The Courage to Teach Academy is PDE PIL approved professional development opportunity for Act 45 credit. Participants will receive forty (40) Act 45 or Act 48 hours upon successful completion of the course.

Target Audience:

The Courage to Teach Academy is designed for central office administrators, principals, assistant principals, and educational leaders interested in learning more about digital leadership and innovation.
